Before You Book
Honest Answers to the Questions Serious Players Ask Before Committing 30 Minutes.
Is this actually for me, or is it geared at beginners?
If you've played piano for fewer than 15 years, our material will mostly move past you. The Fit Call works best for intermediate-to-advanced players who already read chord charts and want to go deeper into rock-specific voicings, stage rig, and arrangement thinking. Beginners get referred elsewhere — we mean that.
What does the program actually cost after the Fit Call?
The Fit Call itself is free and ends with a clear yes or no. If there's a fit, coaches outline plans that typically run $280–$640/month for weekly 1:1 work, or $39/month for the transcription library alone. You see the number before you decide anything. If the answer is no, the coach points you to the right resource and you're done.
Who actually shows up on the call — a coach or a closer? +
A working pianist who tours or records. Every PianoRock coach is a current or recent performer on piano-rock bills — collectively they've logged 2,600+ paid gigs. There is no closer, no SDR, no script. If a coach can't take the call, you'll get an honest reschedule, not a bait-and-switch.
My time zone is rough — will that work against me?
We work across 94 countries. The booking system surfaces slots in your local time, and the coaching team rotates early-morning and late-evening hours to cover APAC, Europe, and the Americas. If a live call truly won't work, we offer a written fit-review instead — same coach, same depth, async.
A Promise From the Coaches
The Fit Call ends with a clear yes or a clear no — and a written next step either way. If we're not the right room for what you're trying to do, we'll say so in plain English and send you to whoever is.
