Welcome to Some Strange Verse, the fanlisting for Ethan Hawke. Ethan has been acting in films since the mid-80s when he appeared in the science fiction family flick Explorers. Since then he has appeared in a number of films, including Dead Poets Society, Reality Bites, Before Sunrise, Gattaca, Training Day and Before the Devil Knows You're Dead. Aside from his acting, Ethan has also directed the films Chelsea Walls and The Hottest State, the later of which was adapted from his own novel. (He is also author of the novel Ash Wednesday.)
